The Shooting Range is open to the Public 9 am to 1 pm Sundays (Weather Permitting and availability of Volunteer Range Safety Officers). Before you come out, please check the Calendar and/or our facebook page to confirm the range is open to the public.

Pistol Range: 13 lanes, 2 are at wheelchair height. Provisions for paper targets to be placed at any distance up to 50 yards, and steel swinging targets to 50 yards.
Rifle Range: 7 lanes. Provisions for paper targets to be placed at distances of 25 yards, 50 yards, 100 yards, 150 yards, and 200 yards. Steel targets for rifle shooters are located from 100 yards out to 750 yards. For your safety and the safety of others, do not place or shoot steel targets at distances less than 100 yards on the rifle range.
All New: 750 Club. Hit the Steel Ram located 750 yards from the firing line 3 times out of 5 and get an exclusive patch. Cost is $10 per attempt. Must be verified by an active Range Safety Officer.

Cowboy Action: Several targets placed at varying yardages. New facades are in place with moving targets and a Quickdraw system shooting wax bullets. Check the calendar for events!
Archery Range: Several targets placed at varying yardages.
Location
The range is located 3.5 miles south of Kernville, off of Sierra Way on Cyrus Canyon Road. (see map below).
Firearms Restrictions
No fully automatic weapons are allowed, including the use of armor piercing, tracer and steel cored ammunition. Large caliber weapons such as .50 cal. BMG rifles are allowed as long as they are legally owned. .50 cal BMGs can only be shot at paper targets. DO NOT SHOOT STEEL TARGETS with .50 cal BMG!! No shotguns are allowed on either the pistol or rifle ranges.

The pistol range has provisions for paper targets to be placed at any distance up to 50 yards, and steel swinging targets at 50 yards. The rifle range also has provisions for paper targets to be set up at 50 yards, 100 yards, 150 yards and 200 yards. Steel targets for the rifle shooters are located from 100 yards out to 750 yards. For your safety and the safety of others, do not place or shoot steel targets at distances less than 100 yards on the rifle range. The archery range has targets set at various yardages and 3D targets.
